First National Palm Beach | The Pines | Burleigh Sponsorship Announcement
First National Palm Beach, The Pines and Burleigh have renewed their sponsorship with Palm Beach Soccer Club for another 2 years!
We have enjoyed a long and happy relationship with the Palm Beach Soccer Club. Many of the children of our team members are past players and still hold a fond regard for their time as a player.
We have been a sponsor for over 23 years in one form or another and often enjoy the social aspect of the Club House on a Friday night. Our years with the Club has seen us attend many carnivals and away games, Dot (my wife) said she does not miss the rainy walk over to the park at 8am on a Saturday morning. However, she does miss the away games with the friendly rivalry with Mudgeeraba, which was always entertaining and the coffee at the Italian Club.
The carnivals at Murwillumbah with our old First National circus tent was always fun and games, how many people does it take to put a tent up, that depends on the people. Dot cannot count the times we put the tent up, the oranges we quartered and the score cards filled but we enjoyed every one, not to mention the sausage sizzles.
Over the years, our team bonded with the help of Matt Frankland who was an amazing Coach and loved all the team members, he was a great mentor to all the boys and the teams and 2 wonderful girls, Abby & Brittany, with Matt every game and practice held some life lessons for each and every one of them.
We have seen many changes over the years with committee members, coaches, club renovations and lastly the upset of Covid 19 on the Club and teams, but every year the Club gets stronger and we see new families move to the area and join the social side of the Club, which is great to witness.
We look forward to many years of sponsorship and engagement with the Club moving forward.
